Death and Taxes…
The two certainties in life.
Administering the estate of someone who has died is a complex business. There are the implications of income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax to consider, including the possibility of taking legal steps even after the death to greatly reduce IHT. There is the sheer volume of paperwork to handle. There are the emotional and family stresses that emerge overpoweringly following the death of a loved one.
Coping with the practical and the emotional consequences of a death can be very difficult. We can lift some of the burden by administering an estate efficiently and sensitively, and removing the responsibility and pressure outside the family.
In some cases, the administration of an estate can become contentious. We
have the necessary litigation expertise to handle that as well.
